In 2018 I reported from Jordan and attended the historic protests in June that led to the resignation of the prime minister. I also attended the protests in December 2018, regarding an internet censorship law.
The Media Awareness Project is helping girls use their voice while learning to make quality artistic media that will shape the world. In fall 2016, I taught a video production after school program in Austin, TX. This is one video my middle school students produced.
A short film showing women of the Sawiyan community (an organization aiding minority refugee populations in Jordan) preparing dishes from their home countries for a book launch event hosted by the Jordan INGO Forum and I Dare for Sustainable Development in Amman. Video filmed and edited by me shortly before the event took place, so it could be presented to sponsors and potential donors in attendance.

This is part of a series of videos I filmed for “Antura and the Letters” mobile app. Winner of the international EduApp4Syria competition, “Antura and the Letters” is a free smartphone game that mixes entertainment technology with practical Arabic educational content to give kids, ages 5 - 10, an engaging learning experience. From Video Games Without Borders, Wixel Studios, and Cologne Video Labs, Antura was created in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, to support children that are not able to attend schools regularly. I filmed and interviewed families local to Amman, Jordan, and filmed with several families inside Zaatari refugee camp.

Cinamji is a queer Arab initiative based in Amman, Jordan, and focused on exploring/critiquing sexuality, gender, body positivity/negativity, and white/pink washing of queer themes and characters in Arab cinema. I was commissioned to produce their critique of body shaming in Arab film.
